Discussion Topic: Scenes, Disasters, and Consequences: Hooking the Reader

    To continue with our discussion begun so wonderfully by last month’s guest speaker, Tamara Leigh, on Goals, Motivations, and Conflicts, this month, we’ll be looking at how to write scenes that propel the story forward and keep the reader hooked, while also incorporating those character goals, motivations, and conflicts we’ve been learning about.

I’ve worked for several years at a successful independent music publisher in town but have always had a love of writing.     I wish I could have attended this last meeting! Still taking some R&R, but plan on attending August’s meeting.
    Thanks for coming to the last NCWA meeting, and a reminder that our free charter membership has been extended to July 31st, plus, there are some exciting things going on with the NCT, too!
    The Lord truly is moving through Nashville…

    I would like more information on your group, please. I’ve been a writer of fiction for years and I would love to be able to pick up some tips and suggestions to see if I should try and take it further than writing for just myself. :)
