Welcome to Middle Tennessee Christian Writers . . . the place for Christian writers of fiction in Middle Tennessee!
“Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel,
‘Write all the words which I have spoken to you in a book.’”
Jeremiah 30:2
The purpose of Middle Tennessee Christian Writers is to uplift one another in our writing and our spiritual walk as we strive together to learn more about the craft of fiction writing.
MTCW was founded in 2004 by Kaye Dacus, Jill Johnson, Diane Moody, and Joan Shoup (w/a J.M. Hochstetler) as a local group of American Christian Romance Writers. Craving the fellowship of other writers, these four joined together and began meeting monthly. As each met other writers, the group began to grow.
In 2006, with a membership more than tripled in size, the group voted to organize independently as Middle Tennessee Christian Writers. Our membership represents writers from all along the spectrum, from those just getting started with writing fiction to multi-published, award-winning authors.
If you live in the Middle Tennessee area and feel God is calling you into the arena of fiction writing and you need to learn how to do it, or if you’ve been published for years and would like the support of a loving, friendly, knowledge-seeking group of fellow writers, please post a comment and one of our moderators will be in touch with you shortly. Or you can visit one of our monthly meetings. Meeting location, date, and time will be posted on the blog.
